The TW08 gave Jadis a remote control to match the sound

A simple solution for a sophisticated range
Although the amplifiers differ in character and specification, the brief for the remote was deliberately focused. Jadis wanted a compact, elegant device with only the essential keys, while retaining enough flexibility to work across multiple products.
The design also needed to give users a degree of personal control. Three of the keys would be programmable, allowing them to be configured according to individual requirements and providing additional flexibility as the product range evolves.
Understated by design
The TW08 was selected as the ideal platform. Its slim, silver aluminium body gives it a light, refined appearance, while its compact dimensions, just 122mm by 36mm, with an 8mm profile, and minimal key configuration make it easy to hold and operate whilst being unobtrusive in the listening environment.
For this application, Jadis chose infrared integration with a learning function. This allows the remote to be configured for the required amplifiers while leaving room for future development. The specification also supports further integration options, including Bluetooth and RF, helping to future proof the solution as requirements evolve.
Details that make the difference
The TW08 was customised throughout to reflect Jadis’ visual identity. Each key was custom printed, ensuring that the controls were clear, precise and consistent with the brand. The finishing touch was a laser-etched Jadis logo.
The result is a remote that feels at home beside the company’s amplifiers. Discreet, tactile and carefully finished without unnecessary ornamentation. Its practical qualities are equally important, with a single coin-cell battery providing an average operating life of around two years.
